Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using tapcleanse.com or placing an order. By visiting our website or purchasing a product, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
These Terms apply to all users of the website, including visitors, customers, and anyone who browses or transacts on tapcleanse.com.
1. Definitions
Throughout these Terms, the following words have the following meanings:
- "TapCleanse", "we", "us", "our" — refers to the company operating tapcleanse.com and selling TapCleanse products.
- "You", "your", "customer" — refers to the individual accessing our website or purchasing our products.
- "Site" — refers to the website tapcleanse.com and all pages contained within it.
- "Products" — refers to the TapCleanse Faucet Filter, Filter Refills, and any other products sold by TapCleanse.
- "Order" — refers to a request by you to purchase one or more Products from us.
- "Subscription" — refers to a recurring purchase arrangement for Filter Refills, processed automatically at agreed intervals.
- "Content" — refers to all text, images, graphics, videos, and other materials on the Site.
2. Eligibility and Use of the Site
By using this Site, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your country of residence.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- You are not prohibited from purchasing or receiving our products under any applicable law.
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or restrict access to any person at our sole discretion, including where we suspect misuse or breach of these Terms.
3. Products and Services
TapCleanse offers faucet-mounted water filtration products designed to improve the quality of water used in daily skincare routines. Our core products include:
- TapCleanse Faucet Filter: a faucet-mounted device with multi-stage filtration, UV sterilisation, and a smart LED display.
- Filter Refills: replacement filter cartridges, available as one-time purchases or via subscription.
We have made every effort to display our products as accurately as possible, including colours, specifications, and imagery. However, we cannot guarantee that your device's screen will display colours exactly as they appear in real life.
Product descriptions and pricing are subject to change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities or discontinue any product at our discretion.
Our products are intended for use in skincare cleansing routines and are not designed or certified as drinking water filtration devices.
4. Orders and Payments
Placing an Order
When you place an order on our Site, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. Your order is not confirmed until you receive an order confirmation email from us.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, including after confirmation, for reasons such as:
- The product being out of stock or discontinued.
- Errors in product description or pricing.
- Suspected fraud or unauthorised use of payment methods.
- Failure to meet eligibility requirements.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will issue a full refund within 5 to 7 business days.
Payment
We accept the following payment methods: credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, and other methods displayed at checkout.
All payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. TapCleanse does not store your full payment card details.
By submitting payment, you confirm that:
- You are authorised to use the payment method provided.
- The billing information you supply is accurate and complete.
- Your payment provider will honour the transaction.
5. Pricing and Taxes
All prices displayed on our Site are shown in British Pounds (GBP) and include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs, if any, are calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
Prices are subject to change without notice. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time you complete your order. We will not retrospectively apply price increases to confirmed orders.
Promotional discounts and bundle offers are subject to their own terms and may be withdrawn at any time. Discounts cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
If you are ordering from outside the United Kingdom, additional import duties, taxes, or customs fees may apply in your country. These are your responsibility and are not included in the price shown at checkout.
6. Subscriptions
TapCleanse offers a subscription option for Filter Refills, delivering a fresh cartridge to you automatically every 90 days. By signing up for a subscription, you agree to the following:
- You authorise TapCleanse to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each subscription cycle.
- The subscription price at the time of sign-up is the price you will continue to pay unless we notify you of a change.
- You may pause or cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@tapcleanse.com, before the next renewal date.
- Cancellations made after a renewal has been processed will apply from the following cycle. We are unable to refund a subscription charge that has already been processed unless the product is defective or covered under our returns policy.
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with reasonable notice. If we increase the price, we will notify you in advance and give you the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
7. Shipping and Delivery
We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 to 3 business days of receiving payment confirmation. Estimated delivery times are:
- United Kingdom: 2 to 5 business days.
- Europe: 5 to 10 business days.
- Rest of World: 7 to 14 business days.
Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to factors outside our control, including carrier delays, customs processing, or adverse weather conditions. We are not liable for delays caused by third parties.
Risk and title in the products pass to you at the point of delivery. If your order is lost in transit, please contact us at support@tapcleanse.com and we will investigate and work with you to resolve the issue.
We currently offer free shipping on qualifying orders. Shipping thresholds and costs, where applicable, are displayed at checkout.
8. Returns and Refunds
Your Right to Cancel (EU/UK Consumers)
If you are a consumer based in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your products, without giving any reason. This is your statutory right under EU Consumer Rights Directive and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.
To exercise this right, notify us within 14 days of delivery by emailing support@tapcleanse.com. You must return the product in its original, unused condition within 14 days of notifying us.
We will issue a full refund, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the returned product. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the product is faulty or incorrectly sent.
30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
In addition to your statutory rights, TapCleanse offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason within 30 days of delivery, contact us and we will arrange a full refund.
Faulty or Damaged Products
If your product arrives damaged or develops a fault, please contact us within a reasonable timeframe. We will offer a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with your statutory consumer rights. You do not need to return a damaged or defective product at your own cost.
Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene reasons, Filter Refill cartridges that have been opened and used cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
9. Your Obligations and Prohibited Use
By using our Site, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers, or any systems connected to it.
- Transmit any unsolicited commercial communications, spam, or harmful code.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the Site without our express written permission.
- Post or submit any content that is defamatory, offensive, obscene, threatening, or that infringes on any third-party rights.
- Impersonate TapCleanse, our team members, or any other person.
- Resell our products commercially without prior written authorisation from TapCleanse.
- Misrepresent your identity or provide false information when placing an order.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time if we believe you are in breach of these obligations.

If you submit a product review, photo, testimonial, or any other content to our Site, you grant TapCleanse a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, adapt, and display that content in connection with our products and marketing.
By submitting content, you confirm that:
- You are the owner of the content or have the right to submit it.
- The content is truthful and based on your genuine experience.
- The content does not infringe any third-party rights or contain any unlawful material.
We reserve the right to remove or decline any user-submitted content at our discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.

All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, images, product photography, videos, logos, brand names, the TapCleanse name and device design, is the property of TapCleanse or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You may view and interact with the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:
- Reproduce, copy, distribute, or publicly display any content without our written permission.
- Use our brand name, logo, or trademarks without prior written consent.
- Create derivative works based on our content or products.

- That the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components.
- That our products will produce specific skincare results, as individual results may vary.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any warranties or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under applicable EU or UK consumer protection law.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TapCleanse and its directors, employees, agents, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Site or Products.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the order giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:

- Any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law in the EU or UK.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you retain all rights afforded to you under applicable consumer protection legislation. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights.

16. Force Majeure
We will not be in breach of these Terms if we are unable to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government actions, postal or carrier strikes, or major infrastructure failures.
We will take reasonable steps to resume normal service as quickly as possible and will communicate any significant disruptions that affect your order.
17. Termination and Suspension
These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use our Site or hold an active subscription or order with us.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or cancel your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution, will remain in effect after termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law in your country of residence.
Resolving Disputes
If you have a complaint or dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at support@tapcleanse.com. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue informally.
If we cannot resolve your complaint directly, you may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at: ec.europa.eu/odr
If a dispute cannot be resolved through ADR, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you have the right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

- No Waiver — Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
